The Talk, Summarized

I'm writing this while we stay in this bus. I've never seen Patty like this. I really don't know what to do.

She thinks that something's going to happen to Richard. In fact, she thinks he's going to die, but she won't tell me why or how. She just keeps apologizing to me. She's crying right now and I don't know how to comfort her.

Just Outside Minneapolis

There’s not much to do around here. We’ve stopped for a moment, and Patty’s taking the wheel now.

It’s dusk and pretty nice outside. You’re can see the fireflies. We’re due to pass through

Hold on.

We’re not moving.

Richard’s gone outside to see what’s going on. Patty’s crying. I’m going to talk to her.

A Few Hours in Minnesota

I’ve just noticed that Patty gets a bit twitchy whenever we drive past forests. So far, I’ve just been chilling back here while they drive. We should be stopping for food and gas soon.

After that, we’ll be getting into Wisconsin. Having checked the map, we’ll also be passing through Chicago and New York City.

I asked them why we’re going to Rhode Island, and they said that it’s just for the hell of it. Good a reason as any, I say.

Leaving ND

Not much else has happened in North Dakota, but we did eat a really good dinner. I just can’t remember the name of the restaurant.

We’ll be out of the state pretty soon, at any rate.
